Manual Treadmill

Stamina Manual Treadmill
Everything has its own pros and cons and manual treadmills are no exception to this. At this point most of us would only be thinking about what the treadmill does not have or what it does not offer but most of us overlook what it can really offer. Manual treadmills have their own advantages over mechanized or motorized treadmills. To start with, we can mention the thing that we note first of all in anything that we want to buy; it is cheap. And it is not only cheaper in comparison to the motorized treadmills; it is cheap in absolute terms as well.
Whereas the motorized treadmill costs around $1500 as a starter and gets even more expensive for advanced features like the incliner or the heart rate monitoring, iFit, etc. the manual treadmill starts at as low as $100 for basic versions and goes up to $600 for advanced versions offering extra features. Having a fitness equipment for as low as $100 is really a bargain in this age and many decent manual treadmill machines can be bought for around $300 with some features that we would appreciate; and $300 is still not a big amount for all the fitness we get in return.
The second advantage that we have with a manual treadmill is that they are quite lighter and smaller in size as compared to the motorized counterparts. The reason for this lightness and compactness is that it does not have to hold the weight and extra space of motors needed to run the motorized treadmill. This light machine would not cause any damage to expensive wood, marble or tile floor that you have inside your home and therefore you can keep it safely inside. Secondly, if you are short on space, which is the problem with most of us living in apartments in high rise buildings, you will have no problem housing manual treadmills whereas fitting in the motorized treadmill will pose a grave problem.
These were all the monitory benefits that you can get by buying a manual treadmill; but now let us talk about the health benefits that you get out of this purchase. If you are a person with a big behind and want to lose some extra pounds from your hips then a manual treadmill is the thing for you. It takes energy from your hip muscles to move the treadmill belt on your manual treadmill and that is why you are able to melt off lots of fat from your hips within a short span of time. This cannot be achieved on motorized treadmill as quickly.
Ok now, we have talked about quite a few benefits of having a manual treadmill for you, but is there only the positive side of having it? No! There are some disadvantages too and we shall look into these disadvantages henceforth. First of all, it is an age of technological innovation and the world is moving ahead. If you want a machine why would you buy something that has been replaced by newer technology? Why not buy its latest and developed versions? And what is the benefit of having a manual treadmill, why not walk in the park or do jogging on the footpath if you don’t want machines?
Secondly, if you are overweight and want to shed off extra pounds from your body by quickly burning some calories, manual treadmill will not help a lot. Weight loss and calorie burning is strictly the territory of motorized treadmill which makes you go faster and for longer period of time. Plus there are a lot of techniques like the staircase motorized treadmill or the incliner that can help you burn a lot of calories within a short span of time and with a little workout on your side. Such great options are not available on manual treadmill.
So to summarize our findings and conclude then, manual treadmill can help you out if you are on a tight budget, limited space and fragile interior floor and you still want to buy a treadmill, though it may be the basic version driven with the muscles of your legs. It can also be useful in case you want to burn off the fat around your hips. But in every other condition, especially if you have a good amount to spend and you want to lose more calories for lesser work, motorized treadmill should be your first preference.
